California to Copenhagen

When booking my flights to Denmark, I decided to split my travel up between two days. The first leg was from San Francisco to Boston (very early in the morning), and the next evening I flew from Boston into Copenhagen.

I had never been to Boston before, so it was nice being able to do some sightseeing while I was there; the cold temperature (26° F) was also good practice for Denmark! There was even snow, which I haven't had much experience with, being from California and going to school in Hawaii (as you can tell from the picture, I was very excited about it)! Boston is famous for the historical buildings along its Freedom Trail. While I did see some of these, my favorite place was definitely the Boston Public Library. I highly recommend stopping by if you're ever in the area!

The strangest thing I've seen so far: White Castle vending machine at Boston Logan Airport??? (For the record, I did not try it)

Anyways, my flight into Boston left in the evening, and we landed at Copenhagen's Kastrup airport around 6:30am; our total flight time was about 7.5 hours. I took a taxi from the airport to the hotel to drop off my luggage, and then I did some exploring until check-in.

Side note: I signed up for the CBS buddy program, so I was paired with a local student who picked up my room keys and would answer any questions I had about Denmark or CBS. I couldn't meet up with her to get my dorm keys until the next day due to scheduling conflicts. But, that's ok, it gave me time to explore a little bit!

Taxis in Denmark are expensive (I knew that coming in), but sometimes they are the most convenient option. You can order taxis through the Uber app since they partner with Dantaxi, a local company. I'll save my Copenhagen sightseeing pictures for another post, but here's a couple pictures from my flight:
